The Game Plan For Working Smarter Not Harder
Do you see a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings. Prov 22:29
Steven K. Scott wrote a book entitled "The Richest Man Who Ever Lived". In this book he talked about "Diligence". He described Diligence from the concept of "Smart Working". He quoted: "Diligence is a learnable skill that combines: creative persistence, a smart-working effort rightly performed in a timely, efficient and effective manner to attain a result that is pure and of the highest quality of excellence". I agree with this concept, however; I wish to expound on this idea further to give you even more value of this concept.
Lets begin here: You are born with gifts and talents that were given to you by God, to accomplish your greatest potential and to accomplish His work in the earth. . You have the ability and power to prosper! I shall remember the Lord my God for it is He that gives me the power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore unto our fathers You are suited with certain gifts and talents that compliment and collaborate with this ability or power. The desires that you have help to guide you in the direction of you purpose or work.
Understand that your work is part of God's plan, therefore; it operates in accordance with God's Game Plan. There is no getting around that! So, the smart thing to do is to recognize and to comply. "I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". Jeremiah 29:11
You are in fact working with the Father when you align yourself with these principles. I like this because the Father rewards from His riches in Glory.
God is the PRODUCER! Most people think to prosper, it must come by struggle and toil! They think they have to struggle to make life work! All that is required is a recognition and realization of Gods covenant and your willingness to obey The Lord Your God.
Now, the next concept to explore is the "smart working effort rightly planned". We have discovered "smart working". Now, how do you "rightly plan"? I am glad you asked that question? To rightly plan is to understand that "Planning" is a part of your Work. It is your responsibility to plan. "The plans of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the Lord weigh the motives. Commit your Works to the Lord, And your plans will be established. The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked for the day of evil". (Proverbs 16: 1-4) For me, knowing that my work is back by God's Game Plan and The Blessing, gives me confidence! I work very had to align myself with Gods principles in each area of my life. Sometimes I fail miserably, however; I am not going to give up. This is well worth the effort and this is a process. So, know that study, failure and practice are a part of that process.
Now we have come to the "rightly performed" concept. How do you rightly perform your work? You rightly perform when you committ whatever you do to the Lord and then you will have success in whatever you do. (Proverbs)
For example, as I am writing this article. I do my best to focus on keeping my attention on giving you the best of me. Giving information that I believe that will help you transform your life by helping you to solve your problems and make the best decisions in life. I realize that I am working unto God and I cannot do a half hearted work. "And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men". (Colossians 3:23)
In sum, Diligence is a Biblical Principle. A principle mostly unrecognized. However; if we want to achieve next level breakthrough in every arena of our lives. We must comply with and operate these Godly Principles! It is for our individual good and for the good of those around us! It is time for us to stop working "Hard" and start working "Smart"! We can no longer leave our lives up to chance or fate! We bring diligence into our lives through our conscious knowledge of Gods principles imbued into our work and by recognizing That as we seek First the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, ALL THINGS will be added unto us. (Matt 5:33) Thats Gods Game Plan. In this light we can plan courageously, execute fearlessly with certainty.
