The Game Plan For
Understanding Motives

A "Motive" is a recurring fragment, theme or pattern in a creative work:

This is First Cause, and the starting point. Your motive is the pattern/theme that you play throughout everything that you do and through everything that you are. Day and Night it will be there consciously or mostly unconsciously working throughout your life's daily choices and activities. Your motive will manifest itself in all of your conditions.

However you Start Anything is what sets the pattern. It could be a relationship, your business, or your health. Not necessarily your actions, but your motives! For example, Why do you want to be in a relationship? Everybody has someone, so you wanted someone too! Why did you get married? Were you lonely perhaps? getting old and like Nike you wanted to just do it! Or are you only focused on profit and not service to your fellowman in your business? Is this you?

Take a good look at the motives above. They are all less than perfect and ambitiously selfish! Your motives are seeds. Remember, you have to set the correct conditions or plant the right seed. The seed determines the harvest and every seed produces in like kind. Meaning if you sow seeds of selfishness into your relationships, business or any other part of your life this is the pattern/theme that will be the end result. Can an intention or motive be so powerful that it can't negate itself when it is in put into motion? Is this the way God intended it to be? Hmmmm...., pretty interesting.

On the surface it can seem that we are doing things with the correct motive, however in most cases there is an ulterior motive that is calling the shots! Sometimes I wonder if I honor God to receive His hand or do I do it just because I love Him. It's important to search ourselves. Our very lives depend on it!

Lets gain more understand of what motives are: My computer defines it as "the psychological feature that arouses an organism to action toward a desired goal; the reason for the action; that which gives purpose and direction to behavior".

This sounds much like an "intention". I remember hearing Oprah say, "intention rules the world". I had no idea what she meant at the time though. Lets examine it's definition: My computer defines intention as "An agent's intention in performing an action is his or her specific purpose in doing so, the end or goal that is aimed at, or intended to accomplish. Whether an action is successful or unsuccessful depends at least on whether the intended result was brought about". Hmmm.... this is pretty powerful.

In the context of music, motive means a theme that is repeated or elaborated in a piece of music. In architecture or design it is: a design or figure that consists of recurring shapes or colors.

Lets look deeper:

From the definitions we can clearly see that motives override actions and it is the motive that creates the pattern!. In a musical composition the theme is announced in "First" measures. The accompanist (in this case God's Game Plan or Principle Set For The Human Agent Of Motives) picked up the intention and elaborated (expressed) it. The theme in your endeavor is determined by the motive that you "First" intended.

In the architecture and design concept:. Lets say you were flipping a house. You noticed that the door was of solid oak and very original, possessing much character and the archway to the door was surrounded in a beautiful stone. So you decide to keep the door and archway in its original design. This doorway and arch now becomes the motif of the property. The project manager would plan the rest of the house around the motif!

So, basically God's Game Plan and Pattern of The Law Of First Cause is projecting the pattern of the motive that you gave it! So, if you sow seeds of selfishness in your relationships or businesses God's Spiritual Principle because of its nature, which is, impersonal and holistic! will take this motive and pattern of selfishness and express it into every area of your life. It does not know separation or how to compartmentalize. It just does what it was created to do. And in accordance with the Law of giving and receiving you always receive more than what you give!

"Where you have envy and selfish ambition there you find disorder and every evil practice". James 3:16

So, how can you imbue your endeavor with the right motif to set the pattern for a great harvest? You can always look to God's Game Plan and Order Of Things. The Word! Yes the Word of God is The Seed! You would simply find a passage that relates to your particular situation and set this as the initial motive of endeavor.

For example, lets say you wanted to be married, Well the following passage of scripture would be perfect to start this endeavor.: "Each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband." Ephesians 5:33 Let's say you wanted to have a prosperous business that honored God, this following passage of scripture would be great to set in motion a motive that would pattern itself to achieve the end result that you desired: "The Lord God teaches me to profit and by the way that I should go."

This is God's Game Plan and Pattern! The Word of God can be your motive and it flows with the pulse of more life, liberty and love. With this as your "First" seed or intention. You have aligned yourself to have a pattern of giving and love established throughout all your endeavors. You are focused on giving to others what is needed most. Women inherently need love and men inherently need respect! And this business would service humanity, stimulate the economy and bring you profit, this is win/win.

The musical composition of your endeavor arranged or orchestrated by you which have great seed elements and a "Theme" based in unity, meaning harmonized with the God's Game Plan and Pattern; you are now positioned to reap a great harvest. The "First" sets the precedence for the rest that follows. Spiritual Law now takes this "Theme" and patterns this throughout and not only your relationships and businesses but into other areas of your life as well.

Understand that this is a process and it will not be easy, however; you can have peace, in that; you are in alignment, you are conscious and deliberately practicing The Game Plan For Abundant Life. You have a motive and First Cause that you KNOW produces good fruit or a great harvest and what happens when you give, especially God's way, He multiplies it and you get even more back!

Your whole life is about discovering God's Plan and Order Of Things. When we do so we are able to work out the Purposes and Patterns of our lives.

"But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without inconstancy or insincerity". "And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those who cultivate peace". James 4: 17-18
