Forgiving Others

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love they neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven; for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust". Matthew 5: 43-45

Forgiveness is definitely the Pattern and Plan of God. Practicing this principle can be very challenging. It was so for me. Before I truly learned how to practice NOT accepting offenses personally, I found myself having to practice forgiveness often. Unforgiveness is very unproductive and is damaging to the mind, soul and body.

The negative thoughts and feelings will return to the Source that is emitting the negative thoughts and feelings! This is the manner in which the Law works. The Law of Cause and Effect.

For example, one occasion I had a heated telephone conversation with someone. I let loose a barrage of insulting, derogatory, profane and idle words that would make any man blush! I was very emotional, adding even more polarity to the effects. After all was said and done, I hung the phone up in this person's face, adding even more insult. Following the episode, I was very angry and hurt. I felt really tired and exhausted afterwards, so I went to lye down. A few minutes later I started to feel very nauseas, I felt as if I wanted to vomit. I honestly felt as if I had just attacked MYSELF, and in ESSENCE I had! I later made amends with this person, however; what I want to express here is that:

You are an holistic Spiritual Being you are effected as a whole! As within so is without. The negative thoughts and feelings will return to the Source that is emitting the negative thoughts and feelings! This is the manner in which the Law works. The Law of Cause and Effect.

Basically, you are in YOUR essence misusing your power and authority that was given to you to effect a positive change in the world. The Law was established by God to work in the direction of "More Life and More Life Abundantly" to all. To operate in unforgiveness, to harbor thoughts of hate, anger, jealousy, envy, strife, discord of any kind is to INVERT this power and it now works in direct opposition to "More Life and More Life Abundantly" which is "More Death and More Death Abundantly", meaning situations, circumstances and issues that do not work for your good or those around you.

Now, how do you operate this Principle and uproot unforgiveness so that your life and those around you can be enriched?

Get a sheet of paper. List all the names of the people who have hurt, abused or offended you in any way. How do you know if you harbor unforgiveness in your heart for these people? If you find yourself constantly thinking about them, and thinking that if you never see them again it would be too soon or you wish that their fruitful situation would turn unfruitful or if they were hungry you would let them starve and watch them die or you have oratory visions in your head of telling them where to stick it or you have dreamed a many nights of punching them right in the middle of their face. You know what you do!

On this sheet of paper, after you have listed their names (and its ok if you have 4 sheets of names) write this:

FATHER, IN ACCORDANCE with your Word (Matthew 5: 43-45). I pray for these people and their families. Say their names out loud. You can use the following prayer to pray. I use these because I believe that these are the highest prayers that I can pray for myself or someone else. You want to always give your best and to go above and beyond. If you really want to stop Unforgiveness in it's tracks, take this list afterwards and send it in to a Ministry of Prayer Partners and have them join with you in prayer for this person or individuals and also add an offering!. I did this. You don't have too. I love going above and beyond! In the ( ) parentheses you can insert the person's name or if you are praying for a group of people you can use the plural terms. You can also pray these prayers for yourself as well. They are very powerful!

(1) I PRAY THAT THE GOD OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE FATHER OF GLORY, MAY GIVE UNTO (THEM) THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM, AND THE REVELATION IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM; THE EYES OF (THEIR) UNDERSTANDING BEING ENLIGHTENED THAT (THEY) KNOW WHAT IS THE HOPE OF HIS CALLING, AND WHAT THE RICHES OF THE GLORY OF HIS INHERITANCE IN THE SAINTS. AND WHAT IS THE EXCEEDING GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TO USWARD WHO BELIEVE ACCORDING TO THE WORKING OF HIS MIGHTY POWER. WHICH HE WROUGHT IN CHRIST WHEN HE RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD AND SET HIM AT THIS OWN RIGHT HAND IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES. Amen Ephesians 1:16-20

(2) FOR THIS CAUSE I BOW MY KNEES UNTO THE FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. OF WHOM THE WHOLE FAMILY IN HEAVEN AND EARTH IS NAMES. THAT HE WOULD GRANT (THEM), ACCORDING TO THE RICHES OF HIS GLORY, TO BE STRENGTHENED WITH MIGHT BY HIS SPIRIT IN (THEIR) INNER MAN; THAT CHRIST MAY DWELL IN (THEIR) HEARTS BY FAITH, THAT (THEY) BEING ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN LOVE, MAY BE ABLE TO COMPREHEND WITH ALL SAINTS WHAT IS THE BREATH, LENGTH , DEPTH AND HEIGHT. AND TO KNOW THE LOVE OF CHRIST WHICH PASSETH KNOWLEDGE THAT (THEY) MAY BE FILLED WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD. NOW UNTO HIM THAT IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKS IN US. UNTO HIM BY GLORY IN THE CHURCH BY JESUS CHRIST THROUGHOUT ALL AGES AND WORLD WITHOUT END. Amen Ephesians 3:14-21

What you are doing here is aligning yourself with God's Plan and Pattern and as such; you are using your power and authority in the right direction and whenever you do this you can have confidence that you will reap the benefits thereof. "These things have I written unto you that you believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask we know that we have the petitions that we desire of him". I John 5:13-15

After you've finished praying , sit quietly for a moment and you'll feel a release and a peace will settle upon you. If you find yourself again having unhealthy thoughts about these people, Again, just began to THANK GOD FOR GRANTING the things that you have ask him to grant to these people or if you find that you are having unproductive thoughts about yourself, began to THANK GOD FOR GRANTING to you the things that you have ALREADY petitioned him for. He has already performed your request, because it is His Will. He has already provided FORGIVENESS, you just have to walk in it. He was just waiting on you to ASK so that it could be released into your life! Once we have petitioned God for a thing according to His will, we DO NOT need to constantly ask Him for it again and again. Just THANK HIM for the thing!

Forgiving others benefits YOU. When you walk in unforgiveness you are transgressing the law of your inherent being. You must guard your heart and forgive immediately when you have accepted an offense. If you don't, it will become a stronghold and cause you unnecessary anxiety, pain and health issues and most importantly, compromising your walk with God.

REMEMBER: Spirituality is practical, so you must PRACTICE living in this manner. This is who you were created to be, you were created to effect a positive change in the world, however; before the world can change you must change. You must began at once to use your personal volition to align with the The Plan and Patterns of God, through your recognition of it, your obedience to it and speaking your words in accordance with it.
