The Game Plan For The Finished Work
It is Finished" John 19:30
When Jesus died on the Cross and uttered these words, "It is Finished", they were words of victory not defeat! My computer defines finished as: processed, perfected, accomplished or fulfilled. Jesus fulfilled the work that He was sent by His Father to perform. What was "The Work" that the Father had put before him. The answer is in the following verses: John 17: 4 "I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do".
"My food, said Jesus,is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work". John 4:34
The prophecy given to Daniel by the Angel Gabriel also gives us an understanding of "The Work" that was to be accomplished by Jesus. "Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy". Daniel 9:24
Through the finished work of Jesus, mankind can now approach the throne of God boldly, in The Name of Jesus! The cross is the pivotal point, it is the culmination and the realization of everything that God planned from the foundation of the world. Radio Station KSHN--Liberty, Texas
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." Luke 19:10
Mankind's position with the Father was corrupt and lost through the fall of Adam. Rom 5:18 "Therefore as by the offence of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one, the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life". Man was put in the Garden to tend and cultivate the finished work of God. After sin entered; he was commanded to till the ground or to work by the sweat of his brow. However, when Jesus died on the cross, we were brought back to the position that Adam and Eve were given when they initially were placed in the Garden! So, through Jesus we are restored back to that abundant position where we are to tend and to cultivate "The Finished Work"!
Initially, in the Garden Adam and Eve walked in daily fellowship with God. Their relationship was perfect. In Genesis 1:28 we see what their position was as such: "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth". My computer defines "blessed" as to confer prosperity and happiness upon. Prosperity here is used to mean an holistic condition. Adam and Eve in every area of their lives walked abundance, and when they sinned and fell the opposite of abundance came upon them, the curse; (Sin, Sickness,Separation and Lack). This is the heritage that Adam passed down to mankind!
This is the very reason why we needed to have a Savior. To restore mankind to his original Divine Heritage! We needed to be redeemed from Sin and the penalty of sin, to be redeemed from sickness, to be restored from separation from the Father and from the curse of Poverty. It's not to any degree, but to the extent of who we are in Adam.
Jesus came into the world to fulfill this plan of the Father to redeem His creation back into the manifold grace of God. Through His death and resurrection, we have been restored to these finished works through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ and all you have to do is accept, believe and confess with the mouth that Jesus is the Son of God "That if thou shalt confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine hart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be save. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation". Romans 10: 9-10
Moreover, I feel the need to say this: Just as you believe and confessed that Jesus is the Son of God to be redeemed from sin. You should do the same for your healing, righteousness and prosperity! Confess and believe scriptures related to your new heritage in Christ Jesus! The salvation that Christ offers is holistic in its operations. You now have the Mind of Christ. You are a new creation, and all things have become new!
Salvation is a finished work -- " Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. you are a new creation, behold all things become new" 2 Corinthians 5:17
Healing is a finished work -- "Jesus Himself was pierced for my transgressions, crushed for my iniquities, the chastening for my well-being fell upon Him and with His stripes I am healed! (Isaiah 53:5)
Righteousness is a finished work -- "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. I am the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:21
Prosperity is a finished work -- "The Lord desires above all things that I may prosper and be in health, even as my soul prospers. "The Lord has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." 3 John 2 "The blessing of the Lord makes me rich, and He adds no sorrow with it." Proverbs 10:22
Yes, I listed three verses regrading prosperity because it seems that most believers have a problem with believing and confessing prosperity. There are many scriptures relating to Prosperity. The Cross of Jesus also redeemed our Prosperity! God is a God of abundance and infinite supply. "The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof, the world, and they that dwell therein". Psalm 24:1 "The .....cattle upon a thousand hills belong to Him." Psalm 50:10 God said, "The silver is mine, and the gold is mine...." Haggai 2:8 It is all His, and through Jesus Christ its all YOURS!
You are to proclaim and guard the finished work! You don't have to fight for victory, it is already finished! You now fight FROM victory! The battle is not yours, but the Lord's!
This is a very liberating revelation!
In God’s sight, we died with the Lord Jesus on the cross, were buried with Him, and are resurrected in Christ. We were identified with Him. We are in Him. The Father sees us through the Jesus Christ. He sees the BLOOD. The Finished Work! You don't have to try to be Saved, Healed, Righteous or Be Prosperous, you already have it through the Finished Work Of Jesus Christ. You may not FEEL Saved, Healed, Righteous or Prosperous. God is not moved by what you FEEL. He is moved by your FAITH! JUST BELIEVE! "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." John 6:29
